Jeremy Thomason

Executive Vice President, Asset Management & Investor Relations

Jeremy Thomason is the Executive Vice President of Asset Management & Investor Relations for CAF Companies. In this role, he coordinates the syndication platform for equity investors in CAF’s multifamily portfolio comprising over 23,000 units and $4B in assets. Prior to this role, he was the Executive Sales Leader for CoreLogic Rental Property Solutions up until divestiture in early 2021. In this role, he led a national sales team that sold data and software solutions in the multifamily and single-family space across 3,500 property managers/owners totaling more than 4 Million units. Prior to this role, Jeremy worked for 20 years in commercial lending at Citibank, GE Capital and Wells Fargo where his teams originated and underwrote financing in excess of $5 Billion.

Jeremy began real estate investing in 2004 when he purchased his first single-family rental (SFR). Since then, his RE dealings have included experience buying, selling, flipping, and managing SFRs. His RE financing experience includes conforming loans, hard-money deals, portfolio loans, HELOCs, ABLs, syndications, assumptions, supplementals, Fannie Mae and Freddie agency debt, common equity recapitalizations, and equity LOCs. Jeremy has bought and sold numerous SFRs and acted as both the Asset Manager and Property Manager. In 2015 he became a limited partner in his first multi-family deal in Plano, TX, and since then has been a limited partner in 40+ multi-family communities (Class A, B, and C) totaling over 15,000 doors, primarily in Texas and Georgia. He has been a lead sponsor and syndicator in 1,000+ units across 8 different communities. Jeremy is a voting board member Apartment Association of Greater Dallas and works on the Legislative Committee there. He is a thought leadership contributor for the National Apartment Association Education Institute, holds a Certified Apartment Supplier (CAS™) credential and a Property and Casualty Insurance license, and is on the Advisory Board of LeaseLock.

Jeremy is the former Chairman of the Park and Recreation Commission and is now an appointed commissioner of the Tax Incremental Finance (TIF) Boards in Richardson, TX. He is a board member of the Richardson YMCA where he was named the 2021 Volunteer of the year. Jeremy has served as a PTA Auditor, and cub scout pack treasurer. He is the President of the Plano Wildcat QB Club (football booster club). He has coached youth sports teams at the YMCA and Plano Sports Association. Jeremy is also a board member and Past President of the Canyon Creek HOA (a community of 2,800 homes). At his church, he has filled many different leadership roles and is currently the Outreach Director, which coordinates partnering activity with local non-profits and the University of Texas at Dallas. Jeremy is passionate about mentoring the next generation having been the campus recruiting leader at Texas A&M when he worked at GE and Wells Fargo. Jeremy is a graduate of Leadership Richardson (Class 27).

Jeremy is a proud graduate of Texas A&M with a BBA in Finance and an MBA from The University of Central Florida. In his career, he has lived in New Jersey, Kentucky, Florida, and Texas. Today, he lives in Richardson, TX, with his wife and three active children and is an avid sports fan, civic and church leader, and passionate about real estate investing.
